Thanks Toddson!
I just might be getting into the groove of this school thing. I am on a break between meetings and I just banged out my discussion question response. With references and citations and everything. The discussion question had to do with ethical communication.
One of my classmates wrote his response based on Melania Trump's speech and plagiarism. I was actually impressed with his response in that he kept it apolitical, just dealing with her speech and the ways various ways it violated ethical communication as described in our readings this week. Will be curious to see how the class responds. Hopefully people will just respond to the speech portion and not the overarching politics.
Otterly adorable.
Steph, that is so much suckitude. I wish I could wave a wand at it and make some of the burden fly away.
I just got back from the vet with Sammie, follow-up UA after her bladder infection. There are still red blood cells present, one possibility (stones) was eliminated by x-ray. another possibility, tumors, needs an ultrasound then biopsy to check. So I get to decide if I want to take the wait and see approach, or spend $500+. My plan is to wait until the vet who saw Sammie from the start of this is back from vacation and talk with him about it.
Timelies all!
Steph, I am sorry this year has been so sucky for you and Tim.
Am not watching the Republican convention. I like my blood pressure where it is, thank you very much.
Aww, Tep. :( I wish the year was less 2016 than it's been for you guys.
Toddson that zoo link is kind of amazing--like, do they give he monkeys typewriters too?
Poor Tim! I know you wish you could do more to help, Teppy--but imagine how much harder this would be for him if you weren't there. Just knowing someone has your back is such a help.
The "mess up" with Melania Trump's speech? Seriously, Andrea Mitchell?
Today found me darkly muttering under my breath, "just burn it all down and salt the earth..." And that wasn't just referring to the RNC and white peoples.
I flat out refused to do something my boss told me too as it was a horrendous idea. Fallout tomorrow.
Good thing I was wearing a black skirt, because my damn period started stealthily and unexpectedly. And that, folks, was the high point of my day until I was able to swim uninterrupted.
Earth is grateful that you got your swim in. That was a close one!
When I walked in and saw it was a zoo, Alia, instructor/guard, took one look at me, said "Bad day?" And walked over, tightened the lane lines, plopped a swimming lesson sign in the furthest lane from the chaos and waved me over with an exaggerated flourish. I actually hugged her.
So be grateful for Alia.
