Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We are having a few friends over this afternoon for a party for the little guy. Gary just went out to pick up the cake and a few other things at the supermarket.

Healing ~ma for your mother, Laura.

Sending good thoughts for your mother, Laura. Surgery at that age is no joke.

Jesse, I admit that I loved getting my color done professionally. It was really relaxing, although not cheap. But it looked far better than I could do at home, and didn't result in a huge mess in the kitchen. And they can do stuff like give you streaks and highlights so it doesn't look all one shade, which not a lot of hair really is.

It was expensive, but if you get a color weave or highlights you don't need to get the roots touched up as often, and it also matters how you style it. I was able to get away with white roots for a long time, if I used enough gel.

Went for a run with my niece this morning, which resulted in us running a lot faster than I usually do! Good for us but kind of a sign that I've been slacking.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

At the gate in the airport. Small child playing INCREDIBLY LOUD GAME on a cell phone.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, I admit that I loved getting my color done professionally.

I totally believe it is worth it! And maybe because I only need a little coverage, my hair person would give me a deal? It just feels like a mint.

Note to self: Unless we invite many, many more people to Sam's 2nd birthday party, a 1/2 sheet cake is far too much cake. (Seriously, I'm going to be eating cake for the rest of the week and then some)

Surely you have coworkers or a meeting to bring it to? I feel like there is always a place for baked goods!

Jesse,

Problem is, there isn't a good way to transport it. (We took apart the box it was in to get it out.)

Oh, it is. Cost me ~$120 each time I did it. Partly because I have so much hair she needed multiple packets of color. I saved about $600/year when I stopped coloring my hair. But since I cut it so short I have to get it cut more often.

The Boss did awesome at agility today! That was really nice. And now I'm making Mark Bittman's cassoulet with spicy sausage and a glass of rose-in-a-can from some Oregon winery. Not bad!
