Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yikes.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I don't know: VP is also President of the Senate. So not opposed to a Warren VP. Also if Hillary does not pick Warren, she damn well should not pick some mainstream white male. She needs to turn out young people and also people of color. Yeah she did a good job of the latter in the primary. But remember something around 20% to 30% of public vote in primaries/causes/weird hybrids. I've heard talk about the current head of HUD who is charismatic and Lantio, Juliano Castro. Castro has always struck me as a bit of an empty suit.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

~ma for your mom, Laura.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yikes, sarameg, I worry about that one with my long hair, but I always worry about the kitchen stove, not the tub.

WRT VP picks, I think Clinton has a tough task in front of her as the Republicans who don't want to vote for Trump will disparage her if she picks someone who is too progressive and the Bernie crowd who are still angry will disparage her if she picks someone too moderate. Then agwin, her choice whatever it is suddenly is going to look way more rational and solid simply by comparison.

I'm trying to work out who will lose more votes to the Libertarians, and I'm hoping it's Trump.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Laura, lots of ~ma for your mom. Safe driving wishes for you.

I wonder how many people are praying "Please, God, don't let her pick her husband." Which would be a very bad idea, because the Fox headlines write themselves, but the thousands of heads exploding would be lovely to see.

Wasted prayers, eh, what with term limits and all. On the other hand, I too worry that a Clinton/Warren ticket might be more women than the electorate can stomach. I'd vote for them happily come November, but I'd be holding my breath over how others will vote.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Julian Castro is on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me this week, and at least he's funny?

It finally got hot here, and I'm trying to decide if I should put on the big air conditioner, or just get out of the house. It would be a perfect beach day, but I have a massage appointment, so the timing isn't great. Maybe tomorrow.
