It depends on the cost and I'm counting on the raise I've been told I'm getting, but hasn't come through yet. But, still, entertaining the idea is pretty cool.

The DH and I have been to Paris, and we would have picked another city to explore, but she was so dead-set on PARIS. Boiled sprat, as my mother would say (with love).

I am interviewing a housekeeper this afternoon. Help me come up with questions. I've never done this before.
How often do you want her to come? Is it cheaper per visit if she comes more often (because less will have built up)? Is she insured/bonded? If you're paying her directly does it break the IRS limit (is this under the table or legit company type thing)? What tasks does she normally do/is there a list of things you can choose/does she do some tasks only occasionally? Are you paying by time, or by cleaning? How long does she take? How often does she take vacation or have to otherwise reschedule? If you need to reschedule, how easy is that? Is a first cleaning longer/more expensive, since it hasn't been cleaned before?
(I don't know that I asked any of those questions the first time I had the place cleaned, but some were not relevant)

These are all great and I feel like I should save them in case we're ever able to hire a cleaning person! Another question I'd ask is "What kind of products do you use?"

All good questions on the cleaning person, but really nothing counts more than a recommendation from someone you know. Our blessed saint that keeps us clean and sane is totally under the table, likely not a citizen, expensive if you considered it an hourly thing. BUT she does more in 3 hours than I could in 12, and even then would do a better job then me. She is like a superhero with making stuff clean super fast as her superpower.
