Yeah, I just realized that not too long ago. I started listening to a podcast Jon Favreau was on and started wondering who the hell is the actor/director guy, when I was expecting a political guy.

I thought the director/actor guy WAS the speechwriter. I think I got it mixed up with the actor who left House to be a speechwriter.

So, the POTUS approached JAMA and said he would like to write an article about the Affordable Care Act, and it was published today. Can you IMAGINE being the poor editor who had to edit the President???? (It wasn't me.) Or having to follow up and pester him if he didn't return the article on time?

I'd have to refill the Xanax script, but I'd do that. And I'd wear a t-shirt that said EditorOTUS erry day.

Apparently this is the first time a POTUS from the modern era (however that's defined; it was in a press release) has been published in JAMA. The whole company is losing its shit. In a professional way.

For real, I would be shrieking into a pillow like an emo teenager if the POTUS was published in one of our journals.

(full disclosure, I am an emo teenager)

And it's hilarious, because the byline is "Barack Obama, JD." That's it. I need to check the PDF to see what the author information says.

I have to look up the article- it might be good for one of our classes!
