I've spent hours matching cords to electronics, separating my DVDs from my roommate's, cooking more things in the pantry, and finding more things to donate or throw away. Under the bed, I had a Grand Marnier box with nothing inside it but old fortune cookie fortunes. I found a box of Canada: [link]
Now I am exhausted and drinking up the limoncello by putting it in a gin and tonic.
Just so you know, shrift, you and Consuela have me on a cleaning/sorting/purging/want real furniture kick. But not quite ready for painting/remodeling.
I think I may never have real furniture. We just bought a new table from Ikea. Yes. Still with the furniture assembled with allen wrenches.
Oh, I'm still all about IKEA. Just no more particle board.
Hello all! Drew and I have had an awesome Caliversery (10 years since I arrived in California and started a new life with him) wine tasting and eating. The only downside to this is that we got back to our room around 7 and both promptly passed out! I just woke up and amused as hell at this.
We also may have bought a lot of wine.
Happy Caliversary! Did you dance to "The Caliversary Waltz"? (It's the b-side to "Happy Calibirthday".)
Cowboy Junkies "Caliversary Song" would be a good choice. That sounds like a lovely way to commemorate the occasion, Pix!
I finally had to choose a side in Big End vs Little End this morning (I went Big End, although I do not, as yet, feel committed to it). That's right, ate my first soft boiled egg. It was pretty good and did not make me gag at all! I am clearly a very different person than I used to be.
I did not Google "how to eat a soft-boiled egg" before jumping in either. Personal growth.
I did after the first one and before the second, though. And bought a unitasker gadget to take the tops off of eggs. It's not a lot of growth.
No dancing. Way too much wine. But a really fun weekend. The upside to having slept forever is that we are both awake in time to enjoy breakfast before heading back
