I am tired and got a guy coming at 9:30 with furniture.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Totally great movie.
I was feeling pretty crappy all week, and then I got a lot of sleep last night and decided to do a 10K today. Yay, sleep. Then I went to the library and checked out physical copies of books, which I haven't done in forever. It took me less than a minute to locate the books I wanted on the shelves, so I guess I've still got my library mojo.
And so many Hey It's That Guys!
I went to a local festival. [link] Unfortunately, I can only take the heat, humidity, and crowds for a few hours, but I've been to this event a dozen or so times over the years, so I have it down to a science. In at 10:15, henna tat, shopping, music, raptor rescue tent to see the birds, tent next door to pet the snakes, more music, t-shirt and hat purchased, lunch, more music, fairy hair, and out by 12:30.
If I'd paid for a ticket I'd feel inclined to stay longer and get my money's worth, but I volunteered with setup last weekend, so my ticket was free.
I've spent the rest of the day watching Due South DVDs and reading the associated fic. The opening credits, with the field of snow, sooth my soul. Paul Gross in a leather jacket soothes other bits. There's also a plethora of That Guys there. Wee baby Mark Ruffalo in S1.
Pride is a great movie! Though it made me cry on an airplane.
I danced more today. And now my feet are killing me, it's 4am, and brunch is at 10am. Good god.
This post is making my morning. [link]
So great!
Pride is a great movie! Though it made me cry on an airplane.
Every movie makes me cry on an airplane, I think.
I loved Pride so much.
YES! It's also true of Call the Midwife at any altitude, but I really love a good clean cry like that. One time on a plane I watched a movie I had never heard of about Reese Witherspoon and some Sudanese refugees, and I swear every scene made me cry -- they alternated between happy and sad tears, but all tears! That remains my high-water mark.
