Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So great!

Pride is a great movie! Though it made me cry on an airplane.

Every movie makes me cry on an airplane, I think.

I loved Pride so much.

A clear case of AALS.

YES! It's also true of Call the Midwife at any altitude, but I really love a good clean cry like that. One time on a plane I watched a movie I had never heard of about Reese Witherspoon and some Sudanese refugees, and I swear every scene made me cry -- they alternated between happy and sad tears, but all tears! That remains my high-water mark.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh dear God. So the extremist I mentioned above, Pauline Hanson, who's returning to Parliament this election. Going to be a Queensland senator. Her party's platform, right on their official website: [link] For the Cliff notes, scroll down to the section, "Pauline Hanson's One Nation Policy". Top of the pops:

Call for an inquiry or Royal Commission to determine if Islam is a religion or political ideology

Yaaaaay.

Ryan occasionally asks me, who do I think is worse - Donald Trump or Tony Abbott (our previous PM). That's easy, Trump is way worse. I now have a point of comparison. Trump is if Pauline Hanson became a viable candidate for Prime Minister.

Am I ready to move furniture? No. Am I going to anyway? Yep.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

billytea, I feel for your country's bad choices in governance.

Why is it that I can't get my sister to understand that I need more definite plans from her than "we'll call you when we're on the way"? I stopped doing that with them that time I waited all dressed up ready to go out for FOUR HOURS after they called "20 minutes away". I just told her, I'm in pajamas and I'm not getting dressed until I know where I'm supposed to be and when.

It's weird to think about different paths in life sometimes. A few years ago, I saw an old coworker. We were both about six months into dating someone, and both thought it was about to be some kind of turning point. I broke up with mine, she married hers and is about to have their second kid! Not that I wanted to marry that guy.
