I've been reading the Robert Caro Johnson biographies--interesting guy. Just when I thought I absolutely didn't like him, he could kind of redeem himself. Vietnam might have been different if he didn't think backing down was weak/ personally humiliating though.

Hmmmm, she knocked the price down,$750 for all. And they are in great shape. She's an antiquer, just replacing it with pieces from the 1920s. I think I might get them all. Bedroom rearrangement involved.
But first I'm cleaning the front room and putting it back together.
I am a fan of antique dressers. If I had a bigger house it would be stuffed with antiques.
There's always more nuance to people and political situations than one expects. It's very annoying.

Ha! Truth.
Tonight's entry in what is apparently Jesse's Heartwarming Queer Film Festival: Pride, about the gay group supporting the striking miners in the 80s.
Aw, that's a great movie.
I am tired and got a guy coming at 9:30 with furniture.
Totally great movie.
I was feeling pretty crappy all week, and then I got a lot of sleep last night and decided to do a 10K today. Yay, sleep. Then I went to the library and checked out physical copies of books, which I haven't done in forever. It took me less than a minute to locate the books I wanted on the shelves, so I guess I've still got my library mojo.
And so many Hey It's That Guys!
I went to a local festival. [link] Unfortunately, I can only take the heat, humidity, and crowds for a few hours, but I've been to this event a dozen or so times over the years, so I have it down to a science. In at 10:15, henna tat, shopping, music, raptor rescue tent to see the birds, tent next door to pet the snakes, more music, t-shirt and hat purchased, lunch, more music, fairy hair, and out by 12:30.
If I'd paid for a ticket I'd feel inclined to stay longer and get my money's worth, but I volunteered with setup last weekend, so my ticket was free.
I've spent the rest of the day watching Due South DVDs and reading the associated fic. The opening credits, with the field of snow, sooth my soul. Paul Gross in a leather jacket soothes other bits. There's also a plethora of That Guys there. Wee baby Mark Ruffalo in S1.
