Steph, I enjoy that so much. Also the many authors that send a separate comment file I have to download that just says, "Please see my corrections." OMG if you hadn't told me to look at the corrections I would've totally not! That was 30 seconds well spent, Author.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I had another author indicate changes in a PDF with the sticky notes, but then sent a separate Word doc with answers to the queries, WHICH ARE IN THE PDF AS COMMENT BALLOONS. They could have just used a sticky note next to each query!!!
And this one I'm doing right now -- with the 10,000 sticky notes -- the author isn't actually answering the queries I asked. (Like, "please provide a statement about IRB approval of this study" was answered with "UCSF IRB did not require patient consent." That's not the question I asked, you nimrod. I can't just assume that the UCSF IRB granted approval of the study -- although it's 99.9% likely that they did -- because you didn't explicitly tell me that they did, so now I have to email you back because YOU CAN'T READ.)

Like 40% of my authors will do that, send the marked-up PDF AND a list in a Word doc. And we have to go through both sets one-by-one because sometimes they put a change in one that they neglect to include in the other.
Steph, just on the off chance that this helps, you can view all of the comments in a PDF in a list, rather than having to individually click on every stupid balloon. You probably know this already, but even the thought of having to spend all that time working with PDF comments makes me sad.
Submitted for your approval. I have a friend with a birthday coming up ... although she'd probably hate how it looks.
That needs me to buy it. Because I like the pattern and it wants my approval.
I am a boring person and would stash diet Coke in there.
well, you could stash a LOT of diet Coke in there
All of the flour, except for the King Arthur's, has been pulled due to e.coli. Which is fine because we use King Arthur's, but sad if you needed to make cookies and couldn't find flour. In summer, there is a real chance of that happening.
