Our wings are not tired.

Okay people, I had the best time seeing Aims and Em yesterday, and her delightful cousins. First, she looks incredible and she thrilled DH with her running leap into his arms. Now it may have had something to do with the Orlando sun, but that would be a minor factor, but she was just glowing. And Emeline! All growed up and stuff, and even more lovely in person than her pictures.

We went to [link] . This is a restaurant owned by my BIL's BIL. Pouchon was in New Orleans for the weekend so timing was off there, but he had the chef bring us a round of free appetizers and discounted the whole bill 20%. Pouchon is a renowned chef and the food was nothing short of divine. (we were all trying each other's stuff) His restaurant is listed in the top 20 of Orlando/Kissimmee area and was the subject of the Cooking channel's Emeril's Florida. Seriously, the food was over the top scrumptious. There was even a jazz trio playing outside and one of the patron's sang a few songs.

Great people, great food, great entertainment. Seriously, I need more of these days in my life!

meara, that is a seriously crappy evening. If we could have a do-over I would have zapped you to Orlando to dine with Aimee and us.

Rebecca - that is some serious accomplishment! Break well deserved.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Got groceries(actually got stuff for this week and next since there won't be time for a grocery run after the long weekend.) and am now washing the little guy's clothes and stuff. Typical Sunday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds great, Laura!

That sounds great, Laura!

Went to brunch with the friends, one of whom was over-sorry for the mess, the other was basically like "hey we didn't get arrested or shit in the street so could've been worse!"

Ha! Worthy goal post there.

Damnit, got paint matched and mixed and no fucking way is that a match. Too late to go back tonight.

I had strawberry shortcake for dinner. Just mass quantities of strawberry shortcake. It was glorious.

(The farm was selling strawberries $7 for one quart, $10 for three quarts, AND I had whipping cream in the fridge already.)

Mmmm. Strawberries.

My son just picked up juice for his vape and it was strawberry shortcake. One of the pluses of doing vape instead of cigarettes is the vast assortment of flavors.

New-to-me show on PBS tonight -- a black jazz band in England in the 30s, with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Matthew Goode, ASH, John Goodman -- it's fun so far.
