this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I just need to post here that I deserve a fucking medal for not losing my shit at my friend who doubled down on the dismissive shit on FB. (I posted about how I loathe the term "sportsball" because it comes across as dismissive and rude as hell, and he replied with "As one of the worst offenders, may I offer you a Snickers?" Because I'm all hangry and irrational, see? It's funny because I'm a woman who's ranting about something stupid! It's not dismissive and rude at all EXCEPT OH WAIT IT IS YOU JACKHOLE.)

I wasn't hangry until his comment. And now I want oatmeal and to punch him in the throat.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I saw that, and was about to politely eviscerate him, Steph. Then I stepped back, did what he should have fucking done, and respected your space.

Solid gold medal for you.

I would not have objected if anyone had been like "Way to double down on the dismissiveness, yo." But I figured my lack of response to his comment was response enough.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc's schedule is all messed up today after too much excitement of having everyone over yesterday. Luckily she seems to be content to play by herself in the play yard at the moment because I need more tea.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Just dropped Matilda off at her second camp of the summer. First she did a week and a half of Camp Tofu.

Now she's at Camp Silver Tree, which is this long running institution by Parks and Rec in SF and tucked away in Glen Canyon Park, so it feel very isolated and in nature but is in the City and close to a busy neighborhood.

It's really an old school camp like Meatballs and she loves it and all the counselors are cool SF high school teenagers. It's incredibly popular so it's difficult to get in. We got shut-out last year, but she went two years ago so it was all very familiar to her and she couldn't wait to ditch me after she was registered and assigned to Purple Group (Color Wars!).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I read the beginning of this article and thought it was a joke. I'm not sure why.

Earlier Monday morning, Donald Trump and his adult children gathered for a regular strategy meeting at Trump Tower.

Is it just the idea that being a politician's child qualifies you to help run a campaign?

Camp Tofu.

What does Camp Tofu entail? (I hope the answer involves really good pad thai.)

What does Camp Tofu entail?

I assume you go out into nature and absorb the flavors.
