Chalk today up to an introverted day. I had planned on going to the local Democrat monthly meeting (I usually have training on the second sat of the month but our schedule was rearranged this month). I was also invited to a neighbors block party. I skipped out on both and have cleaned my room instead.
At least I'm being productive?
I should do something. But yesterday was busy and this morning I went for a long run and then we had a very hot, only partly-successful agility class. I just want to lounge with a beer.
... perhaps I will take a nap.
I went and got a hair cut and then went to Bevmo. I don't have anything to eat in the house, so I have to do something about that, but I think that is it for the day.
Nothing wrong with an introvert day. I've switched my work at home day from Wednesdays to Fridays, so I got a nice chunk of alone time yesterday. I'm kinda looking forward to meeting up with people tonight for skywatching with the local astronomy group.
Oh my God. This bartender is recounting the story of how he lost his phone. An old woman found his phone, and called his Mom, got his address, and returned his phone. Meanwhile, his Mom
was FREAKING OUT that he couldn't call her son anymore, so she SENT A TELEGRAM to inform him that someone found his phone. You can still send telegrams?
I'm waiting to hear back about going over to friends' to watch the Tonys, which would be fine to wait until the last minute for except that I need to make spinach dip 24 hrs in advance for it to taste right. Maybe I'll just go get the ingredients after dinner and if I don't end up going to their house tomorrow I'll take the remainder to the office Monday.
Timelies all!
Things went pretty well at the festival. First set went well, as there was a good number of people in the audience. Second(shorter) set, not so much. We quit early as no one was watching, we were tired, and the music director had to be elsewhere.
The lifeguards at the pool let me in even though they were at capacity. And I found out they fiercely defended my lane, running down stray balls and noodles kick boards. The cookies pay off year round.
Three bookcases relocated to the other room. Huge box of plastic purchased so I can cover stuff up. Left are the big table and sink. And stuff on walls. I think I'm going to need help with the sink. And everyone I can think of has bad backs or knees, hah.
I got the GreatStuff out of my hair....
My sister's garage sale went well, but it was hot as Hades and I'm a bit sunburned now. I made about $130 dollars and found an old scrapbook of mine from when I was a kid, so it was a good day for me.
I'm tired. I walked about 8 miles, got groceries, went to Target for pans, did laundry, and made pork fried rice. The pork fried rice turned out pretty good! Now I'm having a gin and tonic and watching Netflix.
