I'm waiting to hear back about going over to friends' to watch the Tonys, which would be fine to wait until the last minute for except that I need to make spinach dip 24 hrs in advance for it to taste right. Maybe I'll just go get the ingredients after dinner and if I don't end up going to their house tomorrow I'll take the remainder to the office Monday.

Timelies all!
Things went pretty well at the festival. First set went well, as there was a good number of people in the audience. Second(shorter) set, not so much. We quit early as no one was watching, we were tired, and the music director had to be elsewhere.
The lifeguards at the pool let me in even though they were at capacity. And I found out they fiercely defended my lane, running down stray balls and noodles kick boards. The cookies pay off year round.
Three bookcases relocated to the other room. Huge box of plastic purchased so I can cover stuff up. Left are the big table and sink. And stuff on walls. I think I'm going to need help with the sink. And everyone I can think of has bad backs or knees, hah.
I got the GreatStuff out of my hair....
My sister's garage sale went well, but it was hot as Hades and I'm a bit sunburned now. I made about $130 dollars and found an old scrapbook of mine from when I was a kid, so it was a good day for me.
I'm tired. I walked about 8 miles, got groceries, went to Target for pans, did laundry, and made pork fried rice. The pork fried rice turned out pretty good! Now I'm having a gin and tonic and watching Netflix.
I think I might deliberately sleep downstairs tonight, it's about 10 degrees cooler. And I may break and put in the window unit tomorrow, I dunno. Lows in the sixties after tonight, I could hold out.
I finally turned on the account yesterday. Too many 90+ days in a row.
Went out for dinner & cocktails with a friend. Had a great cocktail (mezcal &... stuff) and some absolutely killer brussel sprouts with "herbed yogurt" and brown butter. So good.
And now I have mixed up some no-knead bread for family dinner tomorrow night, which I hope to include watching the Tonys. Wanna see some Hamilton!
The sky watching yesterday went well. There were probably 60-70 people there, from toddlers to senior citizens. There were a number of cannon-sized telescopes, which everyone got to look through. I saw Jupiter, its stripes, and four of its moons. Very nifty. I also got to see Mars and, my favorite, Saturn.
Fun! Did you see any meteors or satellites?
