Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am taking my in-service course (online) that we do every year. It is so annoying to me, because almost nothing applies to me (I don't work in the hospital). I don't need to safely lift patients or dispose of sharps.

Also, the questions/answers are dumb.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

salt potatoes sounds delicious

Our wings are not tired.

You would think that salt potatoes would taste salty when they are cooked with a pound of salt in the pot, but no! They are sweet and tender and melt in your mouth. My non sciencey theory is that the salt water does more to tenderize than flavor. Crazy tasty.

I am all for both salt and potatoes, so would probably love them.

My morning meeting was brief, attended by only two people, and one of them let me know she's just given notice and her last day is July 1. Joy? Project will wind down in two or three months so not sure if we will get a replacement for her or not.

Why do I feel like a monster stepped on my toe in the night? Ow ow ow. Maybe someone stepped on it at dancing and I didn't notice at the time??

I'm really hoping to play a game of Ticket to Ride with Leif (and hopefully more) tonight. Hopefully he'll be interested and I'll be able to leave work before it's too late.

Thanks. I really dislike nosebleeds.

So there are secret pro-Hillary FB groups? I can see why. My wife is very anti-Hillary (she's voting Jill Stein--she's not nuts) and some friends are anti-Hillary. People who are anti-Hillary seem to really hate her too. It's uncomfortable.

I was in the Bernie, but Hillary is cool too camp, but I'm now in the pro-Hillary camp because Bernie has been out for awhile. I don't really understand all the hate. She's a mainstream democrat who is a known quantity on foreign policy and known for being a hard worker. She has flaws, but they don't seem any worse than anyone else who has been a political player for a long time.

I've never understood the visceral hatred of politicians named Clinton. I happily voted for Bill both times, and I pay attention to the news. I have no expectations of purity and moral probity from my national leaders, I just want them to keep the country on an even keel and make sure people get decently taken care of and keep the rest of the reasonable world from wanting to stomp on us. There have always been royal mistresses and favorites, so long as everyone is willing and not too venal about taking advantage, I'm OK with it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So, remember the conversation about fathers and communication and health and monitoring etc etc?

Yeah.

Text message from my dad last night. Round about paragraph FOUR, after updates on birds, mailboxes, neighbors, and gardening supplies he does or does not need us to pick up, he mentions, in a para that CUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE that he had a bad fall, lay in a parking lot for 20 minutes in the rain until someone found him and helped him up, and spent the rest of the day in the hospital. Can't use his right arm, cuts and bruises, does not remember if he hit his head. Aargh.

He's more or less ok, FTR. Or seems so. He couldn't call us because his phone was in the car, but he has a 911 Alert button from the VA that he did not press because...I don't even know. Figured someone would be by sooner or later, as best I can tell.
