I did laundry and made a blue apron meal and made Rice Krispie treats yesterday. And then met up with friends and friends-of-friends and had dinner and multiple bar stops. Had a hell of a lot to drink, and ended up taking the youngun home. ...that was not expected. But fun. She lives in Portland, and is besties with my friend's gf, so may end up seeing her again at some point, though we didn't actually exchange numbers or anything. So random. And it is hot as hell today and even though I wasn't outside yesterday much, my arms and neck feel all sunburned?? Maybe that's in place of the hangover I surely ought to have but surprisingly don't? Everyone got together for breakfast and watching the women's national soccer game which got rain delayed. So the rest left, my friend is doing some work, and I'm catching up on outlander. Yay Sunday.

That is awesome, Consuela!
Went to a political fundraiser earlier with Elizabeth Warren, so that was cool. I couldn't bring myself to shove my way into actually meeting her, but still.
Clouds are boiling creepily. Glad I went swimming early, though the pool was hot-89. It was pretty miserable.
Went out for brunch and shopping for shorts for the DH (he's off to Malaga, Spain for a week to drive Volvos). Came home and watched comedy then went hog wild and smoked some weed that had been sitting around for a while. And by "smoked," I mean we each had about a hit and a half. After some delightful marital hoohah, I lay in bed in the dark and just listened to music for an hour. I felt like a teenager. Man, that new weed is STRONG.
your whole face fades away! So while there are a lot of things I don't do to perform my femininity, every three months or so I get my brows darkened. Definitely makes a difference.
Yep. My lashes and brows are the only things that kept my childhood blonde, so I get both of them dyed every month or so.
That linked page was great, Consuela!
It is mid-80's here. I went out for a Costco run and I'm having to rehydrate before putting groceries away. Here's hoping the possible afternoon thunderstorm cools things off a bit.
Yesterday started out well and then sucked. I had DCC Volunteer training in the morning, then met K-Bug for lunch which ended up not sitting well. So the afternoon was spent alone, in agony. I was supposed to meet up with K, but that fell through. On top of it all, yesterday was the 7th anniversary of my mom's passing. I mostly spent the later part of the day alone and in tears. Both kids were working and had other plans when they were off. I ended up wallowing and then slept in late today.
Today has also been alone but a better mental state. Just been puttering around the house doing chores. Wheeeee.
Went shopping today for pants and shoes for 5th grade culmination. Not the fun kind of shopping btw but glad I took my son to try on the pants since it turns out he's wearing size 18 (!!). I have no idea how I will keep him in clothes when he's an actual teenager.
Now I need to go buy supplies for his class ice cream social tomorrow. So Busy!
Ugh Suzi, that's hard. Sometimes I need a day to myself to just recharge.
How tall is that boy that he's in an 18???
He's not that tall, I swear! But he's solid, and they don't look like they are too long on him. He's about 5 feet, maybe a bit taller, but he's about a 29 inch waist. I think the sizing is keyed to the waist size. If I were alone I would have bought 14s and then I'd have needed to go back and return them.
