Went shopping today for pants and shoes for 5th grade culmination. Not the fun kind of shopping btw but glad I took my son to try on the pants since it turns out he's wearing size 18 (!!). I have no idea how I will keep him in clothes when he's an actual teenager.
Now I need to go buy supplies for his class ice cream social tomorrow. So Busy!
Ugh Suzi, that's hard. Sometimes I need a day to myself to just recharge.
How tall is that boy that he's in an 18???
He's not that tall, I swear! But he's solid, and they don't look like they are too long on him. He's about 5 feet, maybe a bit taller, but he's about a 29 inch waist. I think the sizing is keyed to the waist size. If I were alone I would have bought 14s and then I'd have needed to go back and return them.
I have started to buy him men's smalls in pjs as they just don't make boys pjs that are long enough.
Yikes, Suzi. Hope you're feeling better today.
I have to show off my Sunday productivity:

NOM. Although I suspect I shouldn't have put it together until just before we are going to eat it. I fear the crust will get soggy in the interim. Ah, well: at least it looks yummy!
That looks super yummy, Consuela! I made a strawberry/rhubarb crisp but it's not nearly that pretty.
Ooh. That looks yum, and a strawberry/rhubarb crisp sounds delicious! I had a Rice Krispie treat. Mm. I'm excited to remember that part of my plan for the coworking space was to have somewhere to bring leftover treats to, so that I didn't eat an entire batch of cupcakes in three days or whatever.
It is so hot here. We are all melting. (It's really only hot in the sun, but it feels like the surface of the sun!). I have two fans on me and it's ok...but I don't want to move. I was going to go dance but I think not. Though the fact that my car has A/C is a little tempting.
Timelies all!
Went to the Washington Folk Festival. Luckily the rainstorm held off until we were already in our car.
Instead of going to work tomorrow, I would like to not go to work and just watch TV all day instead.
