Sue, that is really exciting and cool!
Oh, god, the number of times I want to yell "You're not the boss of me!" in goal-setting meetings at work is very large. I have to sneak up on myself to stay on track to accomplish things I want very badly to do, because I have such a kneejerk response to To Do Lists.
So very me. Don't tell me what to want to do, dammit.
Thanks for sharing that link, I love her!
Sue, that is totally exciting news!
My uncle showed up this morning at the weekly family breakfast gathering with a really big band-aid on the side of his neck..
"Vampire attack?" I asked. There were chuckles.
"Accident with a barbecue fork?" A few more chuckles, but no one got the reference. Oh, well.
(The prosaic actual cause was a biopsy.)
Wow, Sue!!
I went up to Sacramento for a 5k with a coworker (actually, there were four of us doing it but I never saw two of them) this morning, which was good fun and not as blazingly hot as we feared it would be. I am home again and didn't make any plans for the rest of today because I thought I would be tired and it would be super hot but neither of those has come to pass. I may do some of the zillion things on my to do list, or I may sit on the couch and watch the rest of Lucifer. I am okay with either, I think.
I have gotten plenty done today! A load of laundry, saw my father, had lunch and a walk with my mother, got a pedicure, picked up a framed print, grocery shopped, hung the print, and now have a pork shoulder in the oven. Sweet.
Well done!
Allergies and perhaps the incoming weather are making my sinuses uncomfortable. I'm not really suffering, but I feel justified in not doing much in between my bouts of sneezing and blowing my nose.
How did no on else (including me) ask that until today?
Timelies all!
Gary's dad did some babysitting today so we could get some errands done.
we lost power for 6 hours this afternoon. mac was asleep when it went off so he didn't care. He damn sure did when he woke up, but not enough to take me up on an offer to go out for dinner. I told him I would not go unless he showered - an hour later he showered, but then he still was trying to negotiate with me to just order pizza. I had no interest in eating hot pizza in a house that was 85 degrees PLUS I had enough cold (rice and bean salad, lara bars, apples, bananas, avocados, green salad, cereal) and or ready to eat food that I was happy not to go out. he refused. would rather have no food. all he has eaten all day is a egg croissant sandwich and a donut. so stubborn, my taurus.
