I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well done!

Allergies and perhaps the incoming weather are making my sinuses uncomfortable. I'm not really suffering, but I feel justified in not doing much in between my bouts of sneezing and blowing my nose.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

My dad called me yesterday to ask how to spell a word,

What was the word?!?!?!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary's dad did some babysitting today so we could get some errands done.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

we lost power for 6 hours this afternoon. mac was asleep when it went off so he didn't care. He damn sure did when he woke up, but not enough to take me up on an offer to go out for dinner. I told him I would not go unless he showered - an hour later he showered, but then he still was trying to negotiate with me to just order pizza. I had no interest in eating hot pizza in a house that was 85 degrees PLUS I had enough cold (rice and bean salad, lara bars, apples, bananas, avocados, green salad, cereal) and or ready to eat food that I was happy not to go out. he refused. would rather have no food. all he has eaten all day is a egg croissant sandwich and a donut. so stubborn, my taurus.

I really wonder what my mom would've written had she had a posting board during my brothers high school year. So fraught.

Sue!

I totally overslept this morning. Woke up at 9, when I was supposed to meet to go to market at 8:30. I think the heat and everything just caught up with me. I know I've not been sleeping well.

Contacted a housecleaning service for post construction scrub down, and now I'm all overwhelmed by the questions and feeling preemptively embarrassed by the clutter that has built up. But a monthly service that comes in to dust and do windows might help me stop with the piles.... I did finally got through my current coffee table pile and finally put away my tax docs.

Little by little, I need to empty my front room over the next week. And buy paint.

Punishingly Intricate

I got up and rode this morning but then felt bleh for the rest of the day. Ended up taking a long nap at my friend's place while Bob helped her put some furniture together. So stayed in tonight and watched a movie and had frozen pizza. Which was kind of awesome. Now I think I'm going to see if I can talk Bob into taking me to get ice cream, though.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My dad called me yesterday to ask how to spell a word,

What was the word?!?!

"Congratulations." (Spelling is not his strong suit.)

Our wings are not tired.

But a monthly service that comes in to dust and do windows might help me stop with the piles....

Strongly recommend. Knowing that my cleaning person is coming gets us into frantic prep mode, which is half the battle.

Congratulations

My co-workers once made a big banner for our boss saying "Congraduations". I never noticed. Boss was the office spell checker dude and just could not believe it. None of the rest of us noticed the error. We never heard the end of it. I am grateful every day for the red squiggly line.

eta: This was before computer in the office. He taught us the trick of reading things backwards to catch spelling errors, but that method assumed we knew how to spell.
