Boss man and I talked earlier than expected, which was fine by me. As I thought, he is generally supportive but he is also kinda burnt out at being a manager because he everything he does has to go up the chain enough levels that he feels he doesn't have a direct hand in any changes. BUT he wants to talk with his boss, figure out how best to proceed and then we will meet again in 2 weeks.
I have rallied my project managers to submit feedback to him to help justify the raise I want.
I also, officially submitted an application to return to school. I found a program I like, that is local, even though it is online, and it is the most affordable for what I want. If I can get my tuition reimbursement approved, work will end up paying half the tuition.
Can I retreat to a cave now?
Oh wow, -t! I literally just assumed that was autocorrect for backyard or something. That sounds really interesting.
Yes, Suzi! That is a lot for one day.
-t, that's how I claimed my garden bed, sort of. The landlord said I could garden there, as it was just a patch of weeds. So I used a few layers of cut up paper bags, weighed them down with potting soil, and planted stuff. It worked pretty well. I've been mulching for about eight years now, and the soil seems to be building up in a healthy manner. There are tons of earthworms.
Something has gone with my library's e-book recommendation algorithm for me- I have taken out almost exclusively romance novels this year, and it is now recommending me only children's books!
Maybe your account got hacked by a grade-schooler.
Suzi, that is a lot of adulting! You win!
A friend is having a BBQ/Game night tonight. I am headed over there after work and will be doing my best to NOT be an adult for a little while.
Of course, I'm getting antsy already as I haven't gotten an e-mail back from the school yet. OMG, you guys are going to hear my whine about school again. Sorry in advance.
Oh heck - I need to come up with an easy side dish. Hmmmmm.
Way to go, Suzi!
OK, someone confirm this makes sense. I have an irregular sort of rectangular spiral to cover with mulch 3" deep. I measured the lengths of each side and it totals 93 feet if I add them all together. I cut the cardboard to be 4 feet deep. So I need 93 cubic feet of mulch. 93x4x1/4 Right?
