90% done moving my dad. Where can I order a new body? This one hurts.

I am happy to know I contributed to your homemade enchilada-making back in the day.
And still so very yummy. I saw a show on Southwestern cooking that described the Santa Fe style you recommended. I enjoy saying "Oh, I make them the way they do in Santa Fe, you probably haven't heard of it."
second beer down.
I start moving things I want to get rid of to the garage and then decided I would just have a garage sale tomorrow and see if I can get some of it sold, so now I have moved I think about 80% of what I want to get rid of out there. a recliner, 2 chairs, 2 end tables, 2 barstools, 2 boxes of housewares, 1 rack of clothes, a bike, a box of toys, 2 boxes of dolls, a bag of wrapping stuff, a bag of fabric, a bag of yarn, crutches, a box of cat things, a stack of paving stones.
I am giving myself 20 more minutes to pull stuff out then, then going to bed so I can get up and get it set up before 8. I put a listing on craigslist and I have signs to put on the street. everything except furniture (and even some of the furniture will go) that does not sell will go to thrift store.
yay running.
yay Miss Louise!
yay moving Dad.
boor sore body. I feel you, my feet hurt, I have to wear tennis shoes tomorrow.
Sara, not job hopping but something else. This stinks.
Re: beer. I've lapped you about 3 times, msbelle.
Believe me, I feel you. Doing that shit is awful even when ultimately perfunctory, as I did this year. Though I did turn my résumé into something less work specific.
Gotta go buy 25 bottles of soda tomorrow. For retirement party. I honestly don't know the space that fills, only that I lucked out not getting veggie detail as I have not prep or storage room for that.
I'm sorry Strix, but as others have said, nursing care may feel like a horrible choice but it really isn't. I do hope your father and your family get the support you needs from it.
And ugh, msbelle, I do wonder why the therapist is nixing consequences. I wish parenting wasn't so hard. I'll be sending lots of love your way, even if I'm not online. I know for me, summer always seems to start off so rough.
And yipes, how is it two weeks away and what will I do with myself? We are now at the fever pitch pace of the last weeks of elementary school for Isaac. Laser tag this week, pool party next week, 5th grade dance next weekend. Then ice cream social Monday and culmination on Thursday. phew!
Watched 2001 with Isaac tonight. I love introducing the kids to that kind of stuff.

Yikes, Tom. Make sure you drink enough water before you go to bed! (Although you're probably asleep by now.)
It was hot here today: agility class was crazy hot in the sun, but The Boss did pretty well. I did some work around the house and put together some dough for a no-kneed oatmeal bread. Then off to the theater for a play.
Interesting play, but too close to home. I thought it was a production of Peter Pan: instead it's a family drama from the POV of a woman who played Peter Pan in a local production when she was a girl. Now she's 70 and she and her siblings are at their father's deathbed.
As it was about 5 Irish Catholic siblings (3 men, 2 women) and a dying father, I felt it was a bit too close to home. Nice, otherwise, with some fun dialog and an entertaining third act in which they all play characters from the original play, including Captain Hook. But still: too close to home.
