Yikes, Tom. Make sure you drink enough water before you go to bed! (Although you're probably asleep by now.)
It was hot here today: agility class was crazy hot in the sun, but The Boss did pretty well. I did some work around the house and put together some dough for a no-kneed oatmeal bread. Then off to the theater for a play.
Interesting play, but too close to home. I thought it was a production of Peter Pan: instead it's a family drama from the POV of a woman who played Peter Pan in a local production when she was a girl. Now she's 70 and she and her siblings are at their father's deathbed.
As it was about 5 Irish Catholic siblings (3 men, 2 women) and a dying father, I felt it was a bit too close to home. Nice, otherwise, with some fun dialog and an entertaining third act in which they all play characters from the original play, including Captain Hook. But still: too close to home.
I'm still up, and I'm drinking water.
And the Warriors won!
I am invited to a barbecue for my chorus on Monday, but the final game of the series is Monday evening. Argh! I may have to skip the BBQ...
Miss Louise! She feels like a blast from my past.
Ooh, brenda - I've said it before and I'll say it again: moving is the worst. Even (or especially?) when it's not you moving.
Good call on the garage sale, msbelle! Good luck.
well the 20% chance of rain turned into 100%. waiting it out, will get a late start.
Tom, I cannot drink more than 2-3 beers in a day without getting drunk. bizarroland.
It's going to rain today and tomorrow here, too. I guess I'd better put the hammock away. What I really need to do is get my old sofa out of the garage to put it out with the trash on Tuesday, but of course I wouldn't want to just leave it out in the rain, either. HMMMM.
Huh? What? I don't understand people. I saw someone on Facebook post a thingy about the lovely symbolism of the Confederate battle flag and how it represents Christ's Blood and a struggle for liberty and how beautiful it was for Southerners- to which I responded, "yeah, the liberty to have slaves, not really what Jesus was about, here's a link about "yes, the Civil War was really about slavery" and a Bible verse. I expected "nuh uh, totally states' rights and righteousness, never meanin' no harm, only racists think it's racist". Instead the person said, "I knew you'd get to the truth". My head hurts.
Three large things of Christmas decorations gone. 1 free shelf in my garage. Nothing else big, but people are just now getting out of church, so it might get busy.
Timelies all!
Eating lunch, then back to the con.
Loki, it is really too warm, and more importantly, humid, to lie on me right now. Fans and not moving are all that makes it bearable.
Got the soda on the list, but I think she didn't do the math right. There's 130 people attending, and she said 1 bottle per 5 people, but only listed 15 bottles....which didn't occur to me until I got home. So I'll buy more later this week.
