You always think harder is better. Maybe next time I patrol, I should carry bricks and use a stake made out of butter.

hip deep in pie

What the etiquette for texting someone you don't know late at night? I am getting a ride to my friend's house tomorrow with someone from a ride share board. She was supposed to get in touch tonight and let me know what time we were leaving. She hasn't and she hasn't responded to my FB message. But knowing for me is the difference between schlepping my bag to work with me and arranging to have my friend come and feed Oz tomorrow night, so I need to know before 8 AM tomorrow.

Send it. Better to know now if she's blowing you off.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Congratulations, ND!

Fixed last night's computer woes. My backup disk filled up and time machine wasn't deleting backups to save new for some reason. So I got dangerous and wiped the drive and started over. Only 4 hrs to go before I'm backed up.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Wow, that was fast. My chorus performance video is already up on the website: [link]

That was fun, although it's a lot of work for a total of 4 hours of performance. Still, it was fun, and I'm sure I'll do it again next year. Although I'm a little sad to think I may not sing these songs again: I got really attached to Hodja.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So great, Suela!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Now you have me curious. When would it NOT be zero?

When you travel to the red-verse?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Two notes that are basically meaningless to anyone who is not me, but which I have to get out somehow:

- I'm wearing a shirt I got at the Goodwill last weekend, which I both actually like and think is kind of funny. It's got a big paisley pattern and kind of looks like something my grandmother would have worn in the 50s.

- My friend's funny-looking baby has turned into an adorable kid! Phew.

Apparently, a Balticon session is happening at my workplace today. Which would explain the parking garage being as full as it was this early.

Which reminds me, I need to check the traffic tomorrow as I've got to drive through downtown to go to Ellicott City. I *think* the O's are out of town....

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I think I'm 2 degrees (I'm never quite sure how that works; would LMM be 0 degrees, then the person I know is 1 degree, then me?), because I knew the choreographer in high school.

I think I'm 3 degrees. My friend Matthew is friends and went to school with Renee Elise Goldsberry. This is like an even better Kevin Bacon game.
