Oh, no, Dana. I'm sorry.
Gud: I'm sorry to hear Girls Who Code turned you down. Did they say why? I mean, it's a donation, right?
Me, I stopped at the store for vegetables and almonds. And of course I bought some of Mary's jalapeno cheese puffs -- which meant that's what I had for dinner instead of the salad I had planned. Then I made almond bars for a work thing tomorrow, and then I made the salad so I have something to eat for lunch tomorrow.
Here's a nice tasty salad: equal amounts green and red cabbage, shredded; diced red onion; fresh corn (or canned); black beans; cilantro (if you have it and you like it); diced avocado; and crumbled cojita. Toss with a lime/olive oil vinaigrette (I made it with lemons). Don't forget the salt. I forgot the cilantro, but I made it a few weeks ago and it's really tasty.
yum!
Dana, could your husband overnight them, maybe?

I'm sure they would take a donation, but raising money in a group's name is tricky - most places I've worked have turned down most offers of partnership, because the for-profit partner was generally looking to use our reputation to build their own.

Luckily, I Have refills for two of the three at Wal-Mart, so I have to call them when they open this morning and message my doctor for the third one blah blah blah.
It's fine. No one died. There will be liquor. Certainly there will be liquor in Idaho, where they probably make it from potatoes.
Cool. Cool cool cool.
I'm in Charlotte. I just ate a giant pile of eggs, bacon, and home fries.

Mmmmm....vodka.
When I was a kid, I was obsessed with potatoes. To the point that, when we were signing up for penpals one year, I asked for one in Idaho! She was not a potato farmer or anything, as it turned out.
I wish I were going somewhere fun for the long weekend! Or even to Idaho. Alas, I have just committed to a Big Trip with my mother next year, so should start thinking about saving up for that.
Excellent. Two prescription refills called in with no trouble. I hate to say this, but god bless Walmart.
Hey, if they are taking care of you...no worries.
The hotel I was at in Salt Lake was hosting a BUNCH of Walmart management trainees who were in town for 2 weeks (TWO WEEKS!) of training. Then they go back to their stores for one week before they return for a 3rd week of training. I can't imagine three weeks of management training but good on Walmart for investing that much in their managers.
