I'm feeling nervous about the general election. While it's hard to see how Trump wins with the demographics and electoral setup as it is, I just have this gut feeling it's going to be really tight. It's going to be Hillary with her policies and facts up against Trump with his insults and total disregard for facts. That's not going to be easy for Hillary.

And the debates. How do you even debate someone with that kind of personality and willingness to just make shit up? I think it'll be very hard for Hillary to win a debate.

I'm half expecting Trump to dissolve into screaming incoherence during a debate, but I'm not sure that will be seen as a bad thing by his voting base.

"He's just like me! That's what the White House has been missing!"

I mean, really. People liked W. because he was "folksy," which I am hard-pressed to interpret as anything other than "not too smart," which is the LAST thing you should actually want in a president.

Trump is in that same mold. You loved W.'s ignorance, well wait until you see what we've got for you in THIS election!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Y'all are real people, right?

I've had about 40 of you at my house, so I damn well hope so, otherwise my therapist and I need to have a talk.

Trump is in that same mold. You loved W.'s ignorance, well wait until you see what we've got for you in THIS election!

I suspect there are a hell of a lot more skeleton's in Trumps closet than W had and that a lot of them will come out and bite him on the ass.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I wish we could get past "Government should be run like a business!", because that seems to be a major part of his appeal. Regardless of whether he's actually a good businessman.

A business isn't designed to protect the rights of a minority. A business values profit over things like people's health.

I believe there's a lawsuit against Trump University that's supposed to go to trial before the election. And there are some serious fraud charges involved.

Exactly! You can't fire citizens or geopolitical entities that don't perform to some arbitrary standard!

And there is the point that Trump is a rotten businessman.

I genuinely don't believe that anymore. I mean, I believe he has skeletons, but I don't believe they'll bite him on the ass. People will just be like "Well, that hooker he killed probably had it coming! That's just proof he can take decisive action!"

And I'm not kidding at all. (I used to joke that W. could eat a baby on live TV and people would just say "Look how much he loves children!" That was -- mostly -- a joke. But I'm really not kidding when I say I really believe a large chunk of people would be totally fine if it turned out Trump killed someone.)

"We all want to kill people all the time! He's just doing what everyone thinks about!"

I want a smoothie, but I'm also chilly. What's the warm equivalent of a smoothie? Pie? Cobbler?
