I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

I have trouble following basketball when I am watching it and listening with no visuals does not improve my comprehension, but I got the gist.

Yeah, I really can't follow the game on the radio, except for when they report the score. And since I cut my cable, I had to go to my sister's house to watch. But it was fun, except for when Curry went into the stands and banged up his elbow, which then swelled up like a baseball and he kept playing. WTF, dude, sit this one out, you are up by 25 pts!

Have you all heard about caramel sugar? It's a thing you can do: roast sugar on low heat in the oven and it turns slowly into caramel flavors, and then you bake with it! [link] I made the sugar last night, and made cookie dough tonight, and tomorrow I will bake some cookies before book club. Fingers crossed.

I did see about caramel sugar--was it tasty? Did it add something to the dough?

Yes, it definitely has added something. I only roasted the sugar for three hours, as I wanted to go to bed. Next time maybe more.

I'm hoping the cookies turn out well: they will be Cook's Illustrated chewy oatmeal with extra ginger and a bit of orange rind. We'll see.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I just got my 400th follower on Tumblr!

Of course, that's 400 followers collected over 4½ years, so probably like 90% of them are inactive by now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh what a relief -- my team member who just got a PIP just put in her notice. So her manager doesn't have to actually let her go, which seems like a kindness. The team member is great in many ways, but this job is the definition of a "bad fit."

I have a one night, at home sleep study on June 1st. Has anyone done this before? I'm already getting nervous that I won't be able to have a representative night's sleep.

Of course, the last three days I haven't had any surprise naps.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck with that, Suzi.

Glad that worked out, Jesse.

I am pretty inactive, Tom, but I passively enjoy following you.

Ooh, it's Health Fair day, I get a free massage. Woohoo!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm going to be doing that soon, Suzi, but that's no help to you now, sorry.

Verdict from my new endocrinologist: my thyroid is fine, I'm not hypothyroid, no really we checked everything it's all totally normal. Next step, the sleep study, to find out if I have sleep apnea (probably) and if so get me a CPAP (ugh do not want).

brillig

CPAPs are not as bad as I thought they'd be. It only took a couple of days to get used to mine. I'm at the lowest pressure, though. Hubby's was practically a gale-force pressure, it was like getting pummeled in the face to try his.

I hope your insurance will agree to pay for the sleep study, those damned things are expensive.
