I can now alienate ALL my coworkers and boss by landing them in shitty offices with officemates they don't want. And one won't be starting until after the move and another is out on disability for back surgery for the next three months, at least.THIS IS GONNA GO SO WELL.

Punishingly Intricate

Seat assignments is a truly thankless task.

I did not pack sandals, because I didn't have room with all the sweaters and tights I had to pack. Am hoping the forescast is lies and I'll have to buy all new sandals and sundresses and ship my g-d winter clothes home. I did get gold toes at least.

I am only really there for the inevitable shirtless vicar scenes.

of which there have been regrettably few.

And I also think that Amanda is horrible. I was very happy when he yelled at her, and very unhappy at the inevitable shitstorm that she is going to cause Sydney . Feh.

sara, I don't envy you that job.

I had to interview candidates for a job today. It's been a rocky, I want to leave my job few weeks and it was good to hear all of that idealism from others.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Dang, sarameg, that is a lot of responsibility, well, not exactly all of a sudden, but all at once.

Boo for no room for sandals, yay for gold toes! And yay for idealism! And yay for shirtless vicars, why not?

Watching the game on my iPad at Starbucks did not work out at all, but I heard most of the first quarter, some of the third and most of the fourth on the radio. I have trouble following basketball when I am watching it and listening with no visuals does not improve my comprehension, but I got the gist.

This week's lesson: Brush Knee -> The Needle at the Bottom of the Sea -> Fan through the Mountains -> Elbow Strike -> Punch with the Back of the Hand

Sara, enjoy the power!!

I am needing to pack and organize for my trip, but also clean (because the cleaning lady comes while I am gone). I am accomplishing neither, though it didn't help that a friend just stopped by for a beer on her way home from a date, to burble excitedly about her date (which was adorbs)

Oh, gosh, I love orange sherbet. Between a good orange sherbet and a good chocolate ice cream, I think I'd pick the sherbet.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

One of my Facebook friends (she's a friend of a friend, really, but our mutual friend suggested that we should be friends with each other) has now gone beyond posting Clinton conspiracy theories, and is now liking 9/11 truther stuff.

Yeah, I really can't follow the game on the radio, except for when they report the score. And since I cut my cable, I had to go to my sister's house to watch. But it was fun, except for when Curry went into the stands and banged up his elbow, which then swelled up like a baseball and he kept playing. WTF, dude, sit this one out, you are up by 25 pts!

Have you all heard about caramel sugar? It's a thing you can do: roast sugar on low heat in the oven and it turns slowly into caramel flavors, and then you bake with it! [link] I made the sugar last night, and made cookie dough tonight, and tomorrow I will bake some cookies before book club. Fingers crossed.

I did see about caramel sugar--was it tasty? Did it add something to the dough?
