Punishingly Intricate

OOh I'd talk about Happy Valley, once we're finished it, though.

In other news, I'm super, super bummed that the weather in Calistoga is 90 and sunny now and is supposed to be rainy and in the 50s/60s when we're there this weekend (i.e., the SAME FREAKING WEATHER WE'VE HAD HERE ALL SPRING). Argh! Stupid weather!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sunday is supposedly clear skies and 70s

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

My Tumblr tagline is "Tumblr is my balm for the abrasions of life," and Good Stuff is one of my mainstays for that. I do rather simplistically and with minimum effort follow some conversations I'm interested in, but Tumblr is frustrating for discussion and conversation. I do reblog and occasionally post something in or about one of the fandoms I'm interested in, but for the most part, I reblog cats. And skyfields, and waterfalls, and foggy mountainsides. And SJW stuff--which I can do for the most part without comment, and avoid the whole acrimonious interchange. I have tight blacklists on rage-making subjects, and for me, Tumblr is primarily visual.

I come here or to email for discussion, occasionally DW or LJ, though my LJ is primarily fannish these days--and again, filtered pretty wankproof.

I don't get Twitter at all--it's a series of chirps that may or may not be related to a theme or a subject, and my ADD-led need for focus makes me want to bat at it and make it go away. I use FB to keep up with relatives I don't see. I skim friends there--mostly Buffistas, a few RL friends. But FB is pretty crazy-making, too. I guess I haven't figured out how to make it a tool, and frankly, it seems like too much effort, so I just keep skimming, just keep skimming....

Here is good. I'ma stay here.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I want to talk about Grantchester!

Also the fact that my mother told the gardening guy that we could be there to look at plants at 8am on Saturday.

Ooh, that is a bummer.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I want to share something from tumblr here, but I can't figure out how to link to it!

That's a little better, for sure! I can't REALLY complain as we'll be there with fun people (celebrating my best friend's 50th bday) and we're getting massages and hot mud baths. But I was really hoping for hot and sunny.

Also, I just can't get over how James Norton plays both of those roles (Grantchester and Happy Valley)!

I keep hearing how Happy Valley is great, but difficult to watch? I don't need that in my life.

Where do we talk about Grantchester? I have trouble dissociating actors with the first role I see them in--James Norton was a horrible murderer (well actually he was quite an effective murderer, but a horrible person) on Happy Valley, and it took me some time to overcome my distrust of him as Grantchester. Likewise, I will ever love Dr. Tony Hill (Wire in the Blood), and therefore Robson Green.
