Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm home from NYC where I saw, among other people, Tom and Jessica! Good times. Also got through both Memory AND Komarr! I mean, I guess I did other stuff, too.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay for your dad, bt! And by that I mean both yay for his accomplishments and yay that he uses his power for good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So you're looking at A Civil Campaign, that's fun.

Wow, bt!

I was off trekking through Niles (hi beth!) to look at gardens and quilts all day. Pretty fun, but long and tiring -walked about 5.5 miles according to my Fitbit.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I know Hamilton has been everyone's theatre obsession lately, but I am much more excited about finding out that the Broadway touring company of Hedwig and the Angry Inch is going to feature Darren Criss returning to the lead role.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Yay for your dad, bt! And by that I mean both yay for his accomplishments and yay that he uses his power for good.

He does have a tendency to do that kind of thing. One of his earliest cases was back in the early 70s, when some Aboriginal activists set up a tent embassy on the grounds of Parliament House. The govt of the day (correctly) saw calling it an embassy as provocative, and sent in the police to break it up - violently, it is reported.

My dad represented them in court, and won, on the basis that the ordinance passed by the government to legitimise their actions had been incorrectly drafted. Unfortunately, that invalidated dozens of other ordinances at the same time, leaving legislators scrambling to clean up the mess.

A change of government shortly thereafter changed the landscape. It's had a chequered history since, but the tent embassy still exists today.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I love John Oliver, but he gives me something new to worry about every week.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We should have listened to Flavor Flav years ago - 911 is a joke!

Edit: ....which I typed mid-watching, before Oliver made that very point.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Flavor Flav is a wise man.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Words you never expected to hear, yet strangely true in this case. A stopped giant series of clock necklaces is right twice a day.

Possibly only funny to me and Teppy: having listened to the Anna Faris podcast with them, if Jenny Slate and Chris Evans are actually dating and trying to be quiet about it, then that podcast was the dating version of Jean-Ralphio and Mona-Lisa's Don't be Suspicious song.
