Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hi, Shir! Good to see your pixels.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hello Shir, it's always lovely to see you.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

You guys!!! I met Aurelia last night! Was awesome.

It was awesome! Glad I could keep your run of a Buffista at every event going.

Shir, I don't know of anyone looking to go to Tel-Aviv for the summer but there should be lots of sublets available in Chicago now with the end of the semester. Pick a neighborhood around any of the local universities and students will have vacated for the summer.

Hi Shir! Welcome back! :)

I just went and did a free boot camp in the park with my gym, that a friend got me to go to. Suppose I'm glad I did it (and totally would've bailed if the friend weren't going to be there) but at the moment I'm standing by the stairs in my townhouse, not walking up them to take a shower because my quads are too tired!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Hi Shir!

Got a bunch of pictures done professionally. Mostly whole family, but a few just with the little guy. Got some 8x10s for the parents, a sheet of 4x6s and a sheet of wallet size.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds like a serious workout, meara!

I trued to go to Tai Chi practice but there was a creek cleanup at that park and the volunteers took all the parking spaces. I tried going around the block to find street parking or something, but I am not really familiar with that area and could not manage it. So I went to the grocery store and bought all the food. Which I barely got to fit into my fridge and freezer, I am the definition of fully stocked.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We did the Redlegs Run this morning, though we did not run (which I probably don't need to specify). My left foot has been giving me a little grief since the 5K that was 2 weeks ago, so we did the 1-mile walk, which was the right choice, because it was WAY too cold for halfway through May (but it's Cincinnati, so what are you gonna do? it was at least 10 degrees warmer when we did the 5K 2 weeks ago). It was 50 and REALLY windy, so it was BRISK. But that motivated us to walk quicker than normal.

And the whole reason I even did the walk in the first place (other than the finisher's medal; those things are like crack) was because the walk ended ON the ballfield (well, the warning track, because it would be crazy to let 5,000 people on the actual field), and I was not going to pass up the chance to be on the ballfield warning track. It was awesome. But really damn chilly.

We got groceries later, and I've finally succeeded in my quest to find gluten-free ravioli AND pierogies! I haven't had pierogies in 5 years or more. SO EXCITE.

Hil, have you shopped at the Fresh Thyme in Oakley? That's where I got the ravioli, and they have a lot of vegetarian stuff, too (I didn't look closely enough to see how much of it was vegan, but I'm guessing the percentage is pretty decent). The prices are generally better than Whole Foods, though not always.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Haven't tried it yet. I'll check it out.
