Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hil, have you shopped at the Fresh Thyme in Oakley? That's where I got the ravioli, and they have a lot of vegetarian stuff, too (I didn't look closely enough to see how much of it was vegan, but I'm guessing the percentage is pretty decent). The prices are generally better than Whole Foods, though not always.

Haven't tried it yet. I'll check it out.

well, the warning track, because it would be crazy to let 5,000 people on the actual field

That is funny. When the A's have (had?) fireworks games, you could go down on the field to watch them but they roped off the infield and the warning track. Man, that grass was so thick and luxurious. Actually, the Rockies do the same thing, now that I think about it, but they let you walk around the warning track from the bleachers to the first base area, then you can go anywhere in the outfield to watch the sky.

We could probably make that work. Too far for me to commute right now, of course.

I am on mile 10 of a half marathon. Went around Golden Gate Park, made it to the ocean finally. Taking a water break now, and then I am going to finish this thing.

The y has a new nonsensical weather pool closure policy. So the pool closed as the sun was coming out after the storm passed because they heard thunder at the y the storm was moving through 5 miles away. Given you can see for miles at this Y, plus tech like radar and lightning detectors, which the pool has, I'm protesting mightily to the PTB. It's a goofy policy. I understand them alerting the nearby Y with no windows, but there's cautious and then there is ridiculous.

But I got a really fast mile in. Turns out 200 yds at a 53.5 s pace feels like my heart and lungs will explode.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Cody and I offloaded the kids at a coding class and went for a long walk on the beach (a little over 3 miles according to my phone). It was nice, but my feet have felt salty all day.
