Saw the picture on FB! It brings a spark of joy when I see mini Buffista F2F pics.

Shir! Not in Chicago, but I was thinking of you a couple days ago. Well, I do randomly think of Buffistas often, but this was more specific. A friend of mine was on vacation in Israel with her family and her husband had a stroke. He is Israeli, but she is Indian and doesn't speak Hebrew. they have 6 kids and she is a physician so she had to come home and get back to work. He can't leave. He is in rehab, which is costing a small fortune each day, but they won't release him to fly home. Apparently they would let him take a ship, but that obviously has a whole other set of complications. Its a big mess. Apparently he has been there a while now, but I just found out from his brother-in-law. Life, she is full of complications.

He is in Tel Aviv. You are in Jerusalem? Mostly it is jumping through bureaucratic hoops. Ugh.

Coffee: It is just a feeling of helplessness. It must have killed his wife to leave him there.

I'm in Jerusalem, but was just yesterday in Tel Aviv. I'm usually there every other week (got a lot of friends there, and it's just an hour's ride).

Totally understand that feeling of helplessness (got a friend who is in and out the hospital at the moment, and feeling crappy, with nothing much that can be done). But I figure that if there's anything I can do, I might as well do it, bureaucratic hoops or whatnot. It's bad enough to be in a hospital, it's worse to be there alone.

Thank you, Shir. I will ask the family for the details and see if there is anything that can be helpful. It helps just hearing your offer. I think one of his grown sons stayed with him.

My medication manager and I have decided to try a low dose of Prozac for a while (she thinks I'm developing a tolerance for Adderall, which I don't know that I agree with (I feel like I just want the extended release to release for longer more than I want a higher dose) but she's said all along I probably have some depression going on so I'm willing to try treating that), so that's starting today. I'm kind of excited to have a prescription that can be refilled through the mail.
