I have gotten some things done at work, and had a chat with a coworker (used to be on my staff) who is not happy with her current compensation.... And then I did a little research and realized she should be, compared to her peers here. Ooops. It's still terrible, though!
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Our vending machines only have Pepsi, so you are lucky Dana!
I am working on transferring an in-person weight management course (for doctors and nurses) to online. I am obviously not the content expert, there is a registered dietician who has been teaching this class for years. But I am about to have a rage blackout, because even though she is all about meeting the patient where they are, there is so much "Even though we know genetics accounts for more than 40% of BMI, people should still lose weight" and a list that strongly implies that things that are correlated with obesity are caused by obesity (like polycystic ovarian disease and glaucoma).
It seems like a course aimed at doctors and nurses should be more medically accurate, Sophia.
I was looking for information on the Great Emu war of 1932 for my daughter, as one does, and I came across this documentary.

Is that even legal??
I think you should try to raise a red flag about the course too.
It is hard, because she does have citations for all of those things-- just the whole system about weight loss is so messed up!
48 hours you guys! My sis just headed up north for a wedding and I have 48 blissful hours of alone, uncommitted time in front of me! Just me, the animals, some gardening, and probably a whole lot of catching up on TV. MAYBE I will venture out for drinks with a friend.
After the past three weeks of travel and birthdays and events and stuff I so needed this.
It is so nice outside today. Warm with a light breeze. I'm still working but am on the front porch. Jack is at my feet watching all that is going on in the neighborhood. He has woofed at a few folks, but none of the big time barking he is known for.
Meanwhile, K-Bug is gardening. One full bag of yard garbage so far. I feel like I should feel bad sitting here while she is working. But I really don't.
I'm just marking time until Civil War tonight. (5 1/2 hours.)
Same. (3 1/2)
