It is so nice outside today. Warm with a light breeze. I'm still working but am on the front porch. Jack is at my feet watching all that is going on in the neighborhood. He has woofed at a few folks, but none of the big time barking he is known for.
Meanwhile, K-Bug is gardening. One full bag of yard garbage so far. I feel like I should feel bad sitting here while she is working. But I really don't.
I'm just marking time until Civil War tonight. (5 1/2 hours.)

Oh man. A brand new kitchen aid mixer just got delivered to my front porch. It's not actually addressed to this address. Sooooo tempting to keep it. But I put a note on my neighbors door instead.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind a diet like those old cats. Maybe I should start my elderly pets and me on it.
I prefer Diet Coke, which is in our vending machine, but there's also Cherry Coke Zero (I think, something like that. I buy it sometimes but I can't remember what it's called)

A Pepsi bottler used to be a big employer around here, you still run into Pepsi only locations. It's weird to me, having grown up with Coke as the generic term for soft drink.
Woo, brenda-time! That sounds terrific. I asked my mom what she wanted to do for Mother's Day and if we could fit it around my seeing-Civil-War plans, and she said maybe we should push off celebrating to next weekend and all I could think was, I'm doing stuff this weekend, I need next weekend to rest! But I did not say that.

Looks like we're going to a matinee of CA:CW tomorrow, because that's when Gary's dad and stepmom are available to babysit. (While we are planning to raise the little guy right, he's far too young for movie theaters.)

Speaking of oppositional, my son has started what appears to be a solo campaign against bathing. And he's getting bigger and greasier and stinkier, so it's not without casualties. The funny part is, when he does take a shower, he loves it; once he's finally in there, you can't get him out.
