Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Great Horned Owls (I think, they were pretty far away, but definitely had that silhouette) on the east side of the building!

hip deep in pie

My sister had to put one of her dogs asleep last week, and my SiL's cat has cancer. Since things come in threes, and I am the only other person with a pet in my family, I've been watching Oz very closely.

However, he's quite the PITA, though much loved, so I figure he'll be the one that lives forever.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That sounds like an exclamation, -t.

38!?!

Great horned owls! That's an old cat

Relatedly, I'd like to have someone who cooks bacon and eggs, asparagus, broccoli, and coffee with heavy cream for me too. Cats have it made.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Great horned owls! That's an old cat

I thought the same thing! Hee.

And that's a straight Atkins menu if I've ever seen one.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I needed more caffeine, and the vending machine only has Diet Coke. Ick. It is not Coke Zero.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have gotten some things done at work, and had a chat with a coworker (used to be on my staff) who is not happy with her current compensation.... And then I did a little research and realized she should be, compared to her peers here. Ooops. It's still terrible, though!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Our vending machines only have Pepsi, so you are lucky Dana!

I am working on transferring an in-person weight management course (for doctors and nurses) to online. I am obviously not the content expert, there is a registered dietician who has been teaching this class for years. But I am about to have a rage blackout, because even though she is all about meeting the patient where they are, there is so much "Even though we know genetics accounts for more than 40% of BMI, people should still lose weight" and a list that strongly implies that things that are correlated with obesity are caused by obesity (like polycystic ovarian disease and glaucoma).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It seems like a course aimed at doctors and nurses should be more medically accurate, Sophia.

Coding and Sleeping

I was looking for information on the Great Emu war of 1932 for my daughter, as one does, and I came across this documentary.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Our vending machines only have Pepsi, so you are lucky Dana!

Is that even legal??

I think you should try to raise a red flag about the course too.
