Kaylee: Can I? Zoe: Sure. He's out, though. Kaylee: He did this for me, once.

When I learned to play Settlers of Catan, the whole Cones of Dunshire bit was retroactively EVEN FUNNIER.

Oh whew. The person wrote back and has no intention of teaching the line dance to the racist song--she said she already raised the concern on the teacher email list and also she doesn't actually know how to do that dance. Yay!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Good thing, meara. One good thing today.

Theo, I'm so sorry about Muppet. And Steph and Tim, condolences for Toke. To be such small creatures, they leave big holes in our lives and hearts.

brillig

The guys around me were talking about food, and one talked about a roommate who would peer over his shoulder while he was cooking: "I see you're making eggs. Some 'yak and garlic on that would be great." 'yak is teriyaki sauce. So the guys started riffing on that. "I see you're making stroganoff. Some 'yak and garlic on that would be great." "I see you're making a cake. Some 'yak and garlic on that would be great." Then one said, "I see you're making a baby. Some 'yak and garlic on that would be great."

Cue the twelve-year-old-boy giggles. A couple of them glanced at me. I was giggling too. They all relaxed.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm so sorry, Steph.
