Yeah, it's supposed to be training me on my new job but I'm having a real hard time focusing. Can't entirely check out (both because it's important and because they have us occasionally break into groups and "discuss")

sarameg, it's like you suddenly discovered a hidden superpower.
I am finding that some people of the younger generation are strangely resistance to some uses of the computer - for example we have initiated an online database for all sorts of forms that student organizations are required to fill out. This should make things so much more convenient for students because they don't have to wander all over campus getting stuff signed and yet: they are very reluctant to use the system.
Perhaps if it was an app. . .
Maybe as time goes on and there are just more people around who are younger than you it won't bother your lizard brain?
Yeah, I hope that's right.

Yikes is right! Are there non-US people involved? Because otherwise it's pretty shitty to have West Coast people working on East Coast time if that's not what you signed up for.
I'm not sure. So far only one person with a non-US accent so I doubt it. The global people in this role do things a bit different. I understood it more when they said it was an all-day training--if we went to 5pm east coast. But if it ends at 2pm east coast why can't we start later???
No doubt someone has a reason. Probably not a good reason, but a reason.
Yeah, 9-2 is how our new employee orientation is scheduled, but everyone is here in person! (They bring people in for it, if they aren't going to be working out of this office.)
So Hamilton got nominated for 16 Tonys. I think, with a skim of the list, that's every Tony it was eligible for, plus some twice. (Leading Actor, Featured Actor.)
I still have not listened to Hamilton and yet I'm all, yeah, that's as it should be.
I saw that, Dana. How will they choose a leading actor or featured actor?
Also, it could have been nominated for sound design, but they took away that category rather inexplicably.
