So Hamilton got nominated for 16 Tonys. I think, with a skim of the list, that's every Tony it was eligible for, plus some twice. (Leading Actor, Featured Actor.)

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I still have not listened to Hamilton and yet I'm all, yeah, that's as it should be.
I saw that, Dana. How will they choose a leading actor or featured actor?
Also, it could have been nominated for sound design, but they took away that category rather inexplicably.
Oh, yeah, the sound design thing is bullshit.
I think, based on not having seen it, I would go for Leslie Odom Jr. as lead. He's certainly a better singer than LMM, and he's got a couple of fabulous solo songs.
Featured actor, though -- I think it would be awesome to give it to Daveed. Dual role, rap-heavy, Broadway debut. But George Washington has some parts in the score that grab me by the heart.
Edit: Oh, and Groff was nominated too. Hmm. I'd still go for Daveed.
That's bullshit, meara. How do they expect you to retain 6 hours of training starting at 6am? Wasn't there some study about not expecting anyone to functionally brain before 10am or something? I dunno but I feel like I read about it here at b.org.
To some people, the appearance of being busy and productive are better than efficient use of resources.
I have an extra hour tonight, because I didn't realize my rehearsal was at 8, not 7. I think I will go get a manicure. What color should I go for?
Hot pink.
I have no patience with people not thinking today.
These are unrelated statements.
And the place I was going to go no longer has a working phone number. That's not good.
I agree Dana. Leslie is my favorite part of the show. And despite loving Groff more than most things, he should not get it over Daveed for 9 minutes of stage time. #judidench
