That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I went back to sleep, and then took the dog for a walk when I woke up, but I am pretty sure that is it for me and walking, for right now. it was not pleasant.

I'm glad your mom will be there -t, since I am bailing. Maybe we can walk that loop with Walter some day soon.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Right now it's at 10,000 steps a day, but I'm thinking I could incorporate more into my life.

hahaha oh gosh I'm really sedentary. It's a banner day when I hit 5,000.

Sigh. Yeah. We just had a phone convo (way to wake up in the morning). Officially over. And mostly I'm pissed I didn't get breakup sex. I haven't gotten laid in a month!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's a banner day when I hit 5,000.

Well, half of mine is baked into my day. My assigned parking lot is half a mile from my office.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

5K done! It rained lightly but steadily for the last mile, but it's in the upper 50s, so the rain wasn't *too* bad. We finished in 1:01 (I maintain we would have finished in just under an hour if Tim hadn't stopped to re-tie his shoe), which I'm pretty happy with because, honestly, we really didn't train for this one. We took a couple of 2-mile walks the past couple of weekends (and I walk for exercise, but I don't walk 5K), and that's about it. So a 20-minute mile is honestly exactly what I was hoping to achieve.

These finishers' medals are like CRACK.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So far this weekend: DH had carpal tunnel surgery yesterday on his right hand and is basically fine but can't lift anything or get it wet for about a week. Today Dylan and I both went to the doctor feeling unwell and came home with prescriptions and instructions to rest (he has some unspecified virus, I have strep).

I foresee lots of screen time in our future. Possibly today is the day I introduce the kids to Buffy.

Orange bread is in the oven, although I made muffins instead. It's a weird soda-bread thing with a syrup you make with orange peel and honey. No eggs, the only leavening is 4 tsp of baking powder. So... we'll see?

Lee, I hope your migraine goes away. I walked the dog about 3 miles this morning: should have run, but I'm a little bit hungover from too much wine last night. And I have dog class in a couple of hours, anyway.

The muffins came out good! I left them on the counter to cool and went to do some yard work.

This ... was a mistake. The Boss' new internet name should be the Countersurfer. She ate ten of them.

Having a full stomach did not interfere with her at agility class at all. And now I'm googling up Morning Glory Muffin recipes. Sigh.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

She ate ten of them.

ZOMG.
