I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My apartment is pretty old-school, so all the closets are small, but there is great built-in storage around three sides of what I think is the practical chimney (not connected to the fireplace).

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We have a pantry, and it's wonderful. At first glance, the kitchen looks like it has adequate cabinets, but in spite of ruthless culling when we moved, there's no cupboard space for food-so, yay, pantry! Also, infrequently used (but often enough to keep) appliances and oversized bowls and stock pots.

Jesse, I could use some of your wall space. I'm constantly threatening to build another room, just for more space to hang stuff.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Lucky you -t, I love calico cats!

Compassionately intolerant

I tried that. All I got was this green dude and I think he was inappropriate with the local deer.

Heh.

Such good suggestions here, Zen.

I have had great conversations with DC's chief arborist, so I'm partial to the idea of checking with the city.

That person is likely to have local history under their belt in terms of the varieties that dwell best in your region.

I'm envious of the pantry talk. It's probably better that I don't have one though, given the ease of expanding to fit more cupboards!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have often felt that I would end up with -t's home for wayward calicos. Jadzia is a muted tabby calico and Pixie is mostly white with just a bit of brown and black on her ears and tail. I do guard against the tendency some, but I'm not made of stone. And Miss Kitty is fluffy!

Uh oh, she's declawed. I have pet doors that my current cats can go in and out of at will, I guess that might be a problem? A solvable problem? Hm.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I fell asleep as I was working this morning. I was chugging along for one of my projects and next thing I knew, CJ was waking me up to take him to work. I thought I had a good night's sleep last night. I still feel like I could zonk out if I just closed my eyes.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I want to redo my kitchen so it has a pantry like space. Maybe some day

It seems to fit here:

I spent last week with my folks and sister . DH was there too. I et along with my family really well. We all like each other. However, I noticed some major communication issues. Despite being taught manners - we all speak very abruptly with out please and thank you . DH and i decided along time ago that the person we should be most polite to is our spouse. the person we have chosen to live with. I am not perfect. And despite the fact that many people have a really high opinion of my DH ,neither is he. so matter how often he drives me crazy, I try to speak respectfully and politely. Being with my family made me recognizes that I need to remember how much being polite makes everything betterr. I need to practice more
