I decided to work from home. Usual Monday not wanting to get out of bed + could not find my badge +time spent fruitlessly looking for my badge ate up the time I would normally spend eating breakfast and taking a shower + fuck this anyway = working from home.
Which so far has me not hating everyone, so that's nice.
I don't hate everyone (yet), but I do have a definite extreme "unhappy with" going on for one person.
I have so much to do today. Shoot, this week. Saturday is our big Good Ol' Fashioned Hoedown at the stables. I'm in charge of the volunteer check in table - we are expecting at least 200 volunteers, some are our regulars and some are friends of friends. Work is going to be easy (I just jinxed myself, didn't I), in comparison to the other stuff I have to do in prep for Saturday.
Hey, found my badge. In a place I had looked twice before, of course. SO theoretically I could go into the office late. Practically, however, I still haven't showered and I'm going to do some work before I do, so probably not leaving the house.
I've been alone in my office so far today, so not bad. I think one officemate is out of town, and I'm actually eagerly awaiting the return of the other one, who was on vacation last week.
My main problem is that I have meetings from 11 to 3 today and did not bring my lunch. I'm going to hope that something ends early.
Oh wait, I just realized I can just blow off the 11 o'clock one. Problem solved!!
Sounds like those meetings should be catered to me.
Oh, argh, it now looks like an order that took forever to get shipped out may have gone to the wrong address. Terrific. At least I can curse to my heart's content today...
We are having staff appreciation week, which started with donuts. We get lunch today too, except that I am supposed to be on the reference desk at the same time, so I may not get to eat with people.
We shall see.
Oh, good, I have to call the mail order pharmacy and yell at them. Today is AWESOME.
"Oh, yeah, you have two orders on hold for this thing that we've decided you're getting too much of, despite your doctor's prescription and the fact that you've been on this dosage for MONTHS. What's that? You're going to run out in a week and it's not a good idea to stop this medicine cold turkey? Well, let me check..."
I want to set them on FIRE.
