On the plus side for Memphis, my impression is the food scene is better (though perhaps not healthier) than Nashville.

Nashville actually has a great food scene these days. I can't speak to how it compares to Memphis, but there are tons of great restaurants here, with all kinds of cuisines (and price points).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Nashville has Bongo Java. Hang on, I'll be there in nine hours.

I forgot the 3 thing I expressly noted I was out of. As one does.

Last night was Prom night for CJ and his girlfriend. They were flipping adorable. I posted a couple of pictures on FB. K-Bug's beau is a photographer so he came along and took nicer pics than my phone pics. He has two little girls and they all have been at my house since last night.

Jack has done GREAT! He has been on high alert and will likely sleep like a log once they leave. But the barking and aggressive stances have been very, very minimal. Mainly when he hears a noise that isn't identifiable as being from K-Bug, CJ or me and he can't see who is making the noise.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have a possibly stupid question to ask, I've been introducing ltc to a new food every 4 days or so. So far she hasn't had a problem with anything. I started giving her pureed navy beans a few days ago, and she's been fine with them. Do I have to introduce every type of bean separately as a new food or can I just assume she's probably fine with them?

Technically, you introduce each as a new food. But I also think that you can assume she's probably fine.

Thanks, Kat! At the rate I'm going I feel like I'm still going to be introducing new foods when she starts high school.

For both of our kids, by a couple of months into solids with no problems, we figured we could stop being so cautious, and we started giving them new foods without waiting days in between. I wouldn't worry about introducing different kinds of beans.

Man, Ken Hitchcock should reconsider this tactic of dipping his goalie in butter during the first intermission.

Kate said what I said better. I didn't worry about introducing each new food. There are a small number of foods that cause the most allergic reactions milk, eggs, tree nuts, soy, seafood, corn, wheat, berries... And if you've been breastfeeding and eating like a normal person, you probably have had some of these. If you have been using formula, she's already had corn. So I'd watch for allergies from these as well as any foods you are reactive to.
