I was hoping that might be it. Want.

I really want to know what the connection is between seasonal allergies and IBS. It's fascinating to me from an objective standpoint, but as my own guinea pig, it BLOWS.
IBS is worse when seasonal allergies are in bloom?
Mine is, for sure. A lot worse, actually. This happens every spring, and I am befuddled by it. There are a lot of anecdotal reports of people whose IBS is worse when seasonal allergies get bad (thank you, internet), but I can't find any real research on it.
Finally. Appointment tomorrow at 3.
If my head stops hurting at 2 tomorrow, I'm going to be pissed.
Because allergies and IBS both can involve inflammation? That would be my guess.

I have a hard time hoping your head continues to not play nice.
First world problem - my project manager ran out and grabbed lunch for us. He brought me a diet coke. I'm not a bubbles drinker but just chucking it seems wrong (it was a fountain drink, not a bottle/can I could just abandon in the work fridge).

Yeah, I'm thinking something to do with histamine, since allergies are treated with H1 blockers and reflux is treated with H2 blockers, but there's histamine overlap.
Does Zantac help IBS?
Not mine. I'm just spitballing with the histamine thing, actually. I made the leap from "seasonal allergies are a histamine 1 hell" to "histamine 2 is an issue with reflux" to "reflux is a disease of the digestive system, and so is IBS", and that wild leap could be totally wrong. I'm just throwing an idea around, not trying to solve it (though I wish I could).
