And of course he acted like it was my fault. "Where do your files go when you download them?" is not the same question as "Are there any files in THIS folder that you might need before I delete it forever?"
Bad IT guy. No biscuit. When I was still working in a server room, I would send a courtesy email letting people know if I was deleting files from a temp folder that I could retrieve and put back.
Timelies all!
Am now in the next phase of clean.all.the.things. and wash.all.the.clothes. Getting ready for my parents, who arrive some time Wed. afternoon. (Yeah, Wednesday. Passover starts Friday night, and they wanted to get to the local kosher supermarket.) Gary leaves at the crack of stupid Wed. morning to go to Louisville for the Building Code hearings. Depending on when things wrap up, he will either be home late the next Wed, or during the day next Thursday. This does not make either of us happy. (and my parents leave early Monday morning)
Having a wall of windows looking out over a valley and a lake with mountains fifteen miles away makes it easy.
Takes me 50 steps to get to a window. And it looks over our parking lot to the highway.
I have accidentally worked a half hour longer than I'm supposed to. Oops. I blame the three hour meeting.
I should stop bragging about my view.
Nah, it's nice to hear about and it wouldn't make me less bitter about my windowless space.
I am home! And have my Fitbit! And about ready for a nap.
Hour 2:30 of hold time with TurboTax. Someone's going to have to die. I'm very sorry about that, but it's just how it is.
These are the times we live in.
Sounds about right to me.
Sure, but what if I need to use my computer for stuff??
I tether my computer to my phone quite often. Probably daily. Sometimes at work to get around a filter. Often at places where I am waiting. I love a good personal hotspot.
I saw a dead guy on the street on our way home from work. It was disconcerting, but moreso when LAPD called and wanted to meet with me to discuss it. When I pointed out I was driving by and I just called it in, they were less interested in me.
