shrift, I really like their cider. It's not too sweet.
Cider being too sweet is one reason I don't drink it often, so I bought some Stella Artois cider at Target and I just opened a bottle.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Paid all my bills through the end of the month. So adult. Very responsible.
I love my people. They are being good to each other tonight.
We actually took Dad to dinner at my sister's house tonight! It was moderately successful: he ate everything, and had a few sips of wine. So that's good. He may be in hospice officially, but he is still getting some joy out of his life now and again.
My house is clean and I have clean clothes in my closets and leftovers for lunch tomorrow, and a bunch of my own roses in a vase. Someone even complimented my garden today, for all its overgrown nasturtiums & lantana & roses climbing over each other.
Now I might watch some more GBBO.
I did laundry including washing sheets, cleaned the bathroom, made chicken mole and froze a portion, and put together some picture frame mats.
I've got my bedroom windows open in the hope that my apartment will cool off since I need to get to bed soon. Maybe I'll have another cider first.
Sounds like a good night for both of you. And Consuela, I feel like that's what's supposed to be the point of hospice, to focus less on getting better and more the things that matter most
Aaaaaaugh.
Traveling for work. 4am, hotel carbon monoxide alarm goes off. Still waiting for the fire dept. to declare all clear and turn off the alarm. Did not need this, have a very long day ahead. At least the weather in northern IN is nice, it's not uncomfortable to be outside in shorts.
45 minutes since the fire department got here, and the alarm is still going strong. I seem to be alternately grinding my teeth and yawning.
Finally! the alarm is off.
Hi Becky!
I gave up on Marie Kondo when I was reading the introduction to one of her books, and she bragged about using a frying pan as a hammer & her headphones turned way up as speakers (because neither her hammer nor her speakers had given her joy, so she got rid of them). Just, no. My tools & electronics might not give me joy, but I am a firm believer in the right tools for the job.
Ah, now I don't have to bother reading her stuff--thanks! I'd hate to imagine what she'd substitute for my cat's litter box. Cause I can promise you it doesn't spark joy, but I'm not getting rid of it.
