I got stabbed, you know, right here.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Finally! the alarm is off.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hi Becky!

I gave up on Marie Kondo when I was reading the introduction to one of her books, and she bragged about using a frying pan as a hammer & her headphones turned way up as speakers (because neither her hammer nor her speakers had given her joy, so she got rid of them). Just, no. My tools & electronics might not give me joy, but I am a firm believer in the right tools for the job.

Ah, now I don't have to bother reading her stuff--thanks! I'd hate to imagine what she'd substitute for my cat's litter box. Cause I can promise you it doesn't spark joy, but I'm not getting rid of it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, dcp. That's way worse than my hotel!

6:00 a.m., same alarm. I've given up on getting any more sleep, fled to Denny's for breakfast.

Suzi didn't scare me away. I'm a hermity hermit myself.

Yay for all the adulting today. I shoveled and picked up more branches. Then got all cozy to watch the baseball game and whoops fell asleep.

Steph, Boulder/Superior is a great laid back place to live hope your brother is enjoying it.

Today I get to tackle the mess inside the house. It is insane how quickly a place gets with just 2 humans and a pug. I could vacuum everyday if I wanted. I don't want, so it only gets done a couple times a week. Working on my yard I could do everyday so this snow needs to melt asap.

I recently discovered hiking and I love it. It is the first exercise I've found that I like and will keep up with. I want to go so badly today, but I fear the trails will be a bit muddier than my taste. I don't mind snow packed and a little ice but the mud bogs me down and messes with my enjoyment. My DH thinks I'm crazy for walking up mountains voluntarily and really crazy that I'd choose snow over mud. Silly man.

Sheryl hope the birthday was wonderful.

Thanks for all the warm greetings!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay hiking! I hope the weather cooperates with you, Becky.

Ugh, dcp. My sympathies, that sounds dreadful.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, dcp, that is the worst.

My plan to try and get to the doctor today has been foiled by torrential rain and flooding.

Librarian Warlord

We went hiking yesterday - both the kid and the dog went to bed early so we have to get out there more often!

Happy Patriots' Day! My niece's husband to be (on Saturday) is running in the Boston Marathon today so I will be clicking his bib number. He's going out in wave 1, which means he could be done before I've eaten my lunch.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

so I will be clicking his bib number.

Oh, I should check and see if Tim's cousin is running it again. (He's the guy who finished 225th OVERALL a few years ago. That's ridonkulous speed.)
