She's a very a passionate vegan, and I respect her right to eat what she wants, and to share what she believes on FB. But it mostly made me want a cheeseburger.
Yeah, Dana, people defending a teacher beating up a student is revolting. And, also, is such an insult to teachers who can handle shit appropriately!
People are defending that teacher?!? I can't even.
They're bemoaning the good old days when teachers were allowed to control their classrooms.
Even whe corporal punishment was the norm at my schools, it was spanks on the rear, NOT slaps to the head like in that video. People are horrible.

A lot of people quote the "spare the rod and spoil the child" ... which is still strongly supported by some.
I'm always reminded of when, in my teens, they started introducing laws against child abuse and people were screaming that if they weren't free to beat their children said children would run wild and be criminals. Never, of course, acknowledging a difference between discipline and abuse.
I am trying to give myself a pep talk à la Stephen Colbert's, "Get it together, Colbert!" I'm not sure it's working.
70 degrees for the next two days. Snow Thursday. Whee.
I took today off (convention recuperation day), but I have still adulted, because I wrote the first draft of an incredibly difficult email to someone. And I may drag myself off the couch and go unearth the floor in front of my wardrobe in the bedroom. (It's currently hidden under skirts and petticoats.)
