I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It's so hard. And it's unfair that people have siblings who treat them like shit.

My thoughts are with you, Consuela.

Family is hard, yo.

What you said, and also, how much must this suck for people whose siblings aren't alive anymore? Sometimes life is such a minefield.

In other news, I also may have overindulged this weekend at TJs, the farmer's market, and the fancy supermarket. Including a hunk of roasted garlic loaf loaded with full cloves of garlic that I just crammed in my face.

I've got a pork bolognese going in the crock pot. I'm about to make a frittata with sweet Italian sausage. Maybe I'll put chard in that? And then we'll see about a stir fry if I'm still feeling ambitious.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tim starts his drug treatment (methotrexate) for his rheumatoid arthritis tonight. He's a little nervous about side effects (most common is stomach issues, but mood changes and some hair loss [because it's a chemo drug] are possible), although I looked it up, and the most common side effects occurred in 10% of patients or less. So that made him feel better. I think he was assuming that hair loss and puking was inevitable, but the dose for RA is way, WAY lower than it is in a chemo regimen.

So, anyway, if alla y'all could spare some good thoughts that the treatment works but doesn't have awful side effects, that would be swell.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh, I am sorry ND. I know I had a pang because my eldest sister has passed, but that's a different sort of ache.

Separate post-

The young woman assigned to do wardrobe for this show put a fur coat in the washing machine. I am not sure if you can quite imagine what that looks like, but it looks very much like you put a wolf in the washing machine. I guess I never said NOT to put the fur coat in the washing machine.
