Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

What a relief for the people who run the city's Twitter account, Ginger.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad to hear it, Ginger!

Took a damn long time for complaining about in on the board to fix it, though.

What, I'm sure that tipped the scales.

There seems to be some consensus that when the county offered early retirements in 2010 because of budget cuts, everyone in the water department who knew anything retired.

Unless all those people disappeared off the face of the earth in the intervening five years, this is exactly the sort of situation for emergency consultant positions paying many times their former salaried rates.

I'm home!

Yay!

I have to go to work tomorrow. That sucks.

Boo!

For those who are interested, The Guardian has a database of people killed this year by police in the US.

It is fascinating and very depressing. Brief information about each incident with links to more where possible. Also several ways to sort and filter the data.
