Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Got home a bit ago from the farm. I stayed after training to sort out some stuff for our fundraiser at the end of the month. Somehow I'm handling the paper products for the event in addition to coordinating the volunteers.

Now I'm carless until tomorrow evening. I'm plowing through the volunteer paperwork this evening and snuggling with the puppy. I plan on sleeping in as late as possible tomorrow.

Congrats Jessica and family. May the closing process be as smooth as possible.

Skipping and skimming about 400 posts. (Well really just skipping). I got to try new Trader Joes' dill pickle flavored popcorn. So good I did not buy any for fear I'd treat the 5 portion bag as a convenient single serve. Given ita's love of sour stuff like salt n' vinegar chips, I'll bet she would have liked it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Also, reveal more about this alleged house.

It's a 4-br cape in Ossining, about a mile from the Metro North station (real estate agents will say "walking distance" but because of the way the streets are shaped, it'd be a pretty long walk), across the street from a big park, close to good schools, on a corner lot with a nice backyard. No river views (it's not on a high enough hill), but it's an easy five-minute drive to the waterfront.

We've decided to let the kids have the upstairs, which means both of them will have bigger bedrooms than we will, but (1) we won't have to share a bathroom with them, and (2) they can't leave the house at night without walking past our room, which may come in handy when they're a little older.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Sounds like rest would be helpful, whether it's flu or viral.

I'm trying as best I can... I think my mom is bored though, she just announced that she wants to DRANK tonight.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Jess, that sounds great! How long is the commute to work? (I know nothing of NY geography or what rail commute times are.)

across the street from a big park

I love that! How great for the kids.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, that sounds fantastic, Jess! Many fine qualities.

((Nora))

I am making measurable progress on my cleaning agenda. Considering adding libations to the continuing process...

Jessica, that sounds like a lovely place. I liked the look from the road.

So Dad's in hospice. And we got the banking done, and then we bought wine, and now I'm going to dinner with a friend. I have a ton of paperwork and baking to do, but I guess that's tomorrow.

Consuela, I hope it gives you some peace.
